About the Institute
We think a healthy diet includes all essential nutrients, from all of the food groups, and provides the right amount of calories, vitamin and minerals to maintain a healthy weight which mitigates disease.
Our goal is to help people nurture a healthier relationship with food and learn to take care of their body, rather than punish it. It’s my hope that my work helps you see that food can contribute to your quality of life by fueling your body to live a life that brings you joy. I am here to educate you that eating can be a pleasurable activity for your future health, rather than a source of shame and anxiety.
Zohreh Hamidi MS
RDN- Registered Dietitian Nutritionist
I knew I wanted to be involved in the food science industry from a young age. So in a certain sense, the journey to becoming a registered dietitian goes back to my childhood. My father had an organic poultry farm and my mother was educated in agricultural science. Nature, animals, and healthy living has been a part of my entire life. I grew up eating organic food and cherishing an active lifestyle. I truly believe the food we eat can change the quality of our life both physically and emotionally.
I have years of extensive experience in medical nutrition therapy with patients that have kidney disease, diabetes, metabolic disorder, hypertension, high cholesterol, cardiovascular disease, and weight management. I help my patients at my private practice and in dialysis centers. I am a member of the Los Angeles Dietetic Association and Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics.
